Pig dream meaning
A pig often mirrors abundance, appetite, and the comfort you allow yourself.

A pig trotting through your door is one of the most cheerful images in Korean dream lore.
What does dreaming of a pig chasing you mean? Lucky
Being chased usually feels tense, but a pig running after you is traditionally read as fortune that refuses to let you go.
What does dreaming of piglets or many baby pigs mean? Lucky
A litter of piglets is an image of multiplying abundance.
What does dreaming of killing or butchering a pig mean? Depends
This scene can feel jarring, yet in dream language it is about transformation, not harm.
A pig turning up in your sleep is about as warm a guest as a dream can bring. In the Korean tradition of reading dreams, the pig stands for abundance, appetite and the simple comfort of having enough. Part of the reason is a play on words: an older word for pig, don (돈), sounds just like the everyday word for money. Pigs were also prized on farms and placed at the center of feasts and ancestral rites, so they came to carry the hope of plenty.
That is why a pig dream is classically counted as a gilmong (길몽), meaning a lucky dream. Still, the pig in your dream was doing something, somewhere, and you felt something watching it. Those three things decide which reading belongs to you.
Where the pig went and what it did
Start with movement. If the pig crossed into your home or yard, look at Dreaming of a pig walking into your house, since the old Korean view treats inward motion as good fortune arriving. If you were running and the pig kept coming after you, Dreaming of a pig chasing you fits, because pursuit here is read as luck that refuses to let go.
Then count. A crowd of small, tumbling animals belongs with Dreaming of piglets or many baby pigs, where we'd read the number itself as plenty still multiplying. And if the scene involved a knife, a kitchen or a pig being prepared, turn to Dreaming of killing or butchering a pig, the one version that asks most about your own hands and your mood.
A plump pig versus one slipping away
The traditional reading follows the pig's direction and condition. Toward you, round and clean, the image leans hopeful. A thin pig, or one wandering off down the road, drifts closer to a hyungmong (흉몽), a warning dream, read as good things passing by unnoticed rather than anything frightening.
The butchering scene sits in between for a reason. It recalls feast preparation, so we'd read calm as readiness to reshape something and guilt as a sign you're judging your own needs too harshly. Your feeling on waking settles which way it tips.
The pig and your own appetite
Beneath the lore, this animal brings up how much rest, pleasure and support you let yourself take. A cheerful pig may be nudging you to enjoy what's already on your table. A grimy, unruly one could mirror a sense of too much, too fast. Either way, there's no shame in the question. Let the image sit with you over a slow cup of tea, and notice which version stayed with you longest.
The same dream can mean something different for you. Your saju (사주), your Korean birth chart, adds the personal layer.
