Privacy Policy
HeyMong (heymong.com/en) is run by Liouville Labs Inc., incorporated in Delaware, USA (phone +1 650-332-2002; "HeyMong", "we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It is written for people in the United States.
We are a company incorporated in Delaware, USA. We run HeyMong from the United States, and most of the companies that help us run it are in the United States. Our database is stored in Seoul, South Korea. The table below shows where each company is and what it receives.
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account. We collect only what we need to write and deliver your reading.
- What you enter for a reading: your dream, your first name, your birth date, your birth time (optional), your birthplace (used to find your time zone), your gender (optional), the dream themes you pick and, if you choose, a worry on your mind.
- Follow-up questions: the questions you ask about a paid reading and our answers.
- Payment: your email address, what you bought, the amount, the date and Stripe's payment ID. Your card number and other payment details go directly to Stripe. We never receive them.
- Reviews (optional, paid readings only): a star rating, a one-line review, the name you want shown, and whether you allow us to show your review publicly.
- Collected automatically: a visitor cookie (a random value), your IP address, device and browser information, which ad or link brought you to us, and ad identifiers set by Meta (fbp and fbc). We store your IP address as a one-way hash to count free readings and prevent abuse. For Meta's Conversions API, we keep your original IP address and browser information for a short time until your payment is confirmed (see section 6).
- Dream dictionary notes: when your dream includes a symbol our dictionary does not have yet, we record the symbol and a few words about the scene (for example, "giraffe, running"), without your reading ID, name, birth date or the text of your dream.
2. Sensitive information
Your dream and anything you write about a worry may include sensitive information, such as details about your health. If you write about a worry or pick the Health theme, we ask for your separate consent before we use it. We use this information only to write your reading, and we send it to Anthropic (United States), the AI company that writes it. If you do not consent, you can still get a reading without writing a worry or picking Health.
3. How we use your information
- To calculate your saju (사주), the Korean four pillars of birth, and write your reading and answers.
- To take payment, email you your reading link and payment summary, handle refunds and disputes, and keep the records the law requires.
- To give you one free preview a day and your extra free readings, to prevent abuse, and to reopen readings you bought in the same browser.
- To measure how our ads perform and understand how people use the Service (see section 4).
- To improve our dream dictionary, using only the symbol notes described above.
- To show reviews you allowed us to publish (4 stars or more), with your name partly hidden, on the HeyMong home page and waiting screen.
We do not use your dream, your worry, your name, your birth details or your email for advertising.
4. Analytics and advertising
We do not sell your personal information. We do use two outside tools that collect information about how you use HeyMong (the pages you visit, buttons you tap, how far you scroll, time on page, which ad brought you here, and your device and browser type):
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API: measure visits and purchases that come from our ads on Facebook and Instagram. When a purchase is confirmed, our server tells Meta the amount, the product, your ad identifiers, your IP address and your browser information. Meta also receives the address of the page you are on. For a reading page, that address contains your reading ID, and right after checkout it also contains Stripe's checkout session ID. The address our server sends to Meta hides the reading ID.
- Google Analytics 4: counts visits. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization signals, and the page addresses we send to Google hide your reading ID.
We never send your dream, your worry, your name, your birth details or your email to these tools. We do not use session recording tools, and we do not load fonts from outside servers.
Under some state privacy laws, letting an ad platform such as Meta measure ads on our site can count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising. You can limit this at any time:
- Turn off interest-based ads from Meta in your Meta ad preferences and from Google in My Ad Center.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- On your phone, reset your advertising ID or turn on "Limit Ad Tracking" (or "Ask App Not to Track").
- Email contact@heymong.com to ask us to delete the Conversions API data we hold about you.
Opting out does not limit what you can do on HeyMong.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with the companies below, which help us run HeyMong, and when the law requires it (for example, a valid court order). Stripe processes payments as the merchant of record and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy. We send information to these companies over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

6. How long we keep information
- Free readings you did not pay for (your inputs, chart and reading): deleted 90 days after the reading is created, or right away if you ask.
- Paid readings (your inputs, reading and follow-up questions): kept so you can come back to them, until you ask us to delete them. We delete them as soon as you ask.
- Payment records (including refunds and disputes): kept for 5 years from the payment date, then deleted.
- Checkouts you started but did not finish: closed 3 days after the checkout ends, and the reading and checkout records are deleted 7 days after that.
- IP address and browser information for Meta's Conversions API: deleted as soon as they are sent to Meta after your payment is confirmed, or 7 days after the checkout closes if you did not pay.
- Free and paid reading limits (hashed visitor cookie, hashed IP address, date): deleted after 90 days.
- Extra free reading records (hashed visitor cookie, hashed IP address, time): deleted after 400 days, the life of the visitor cookie.
- "Find my reading" email logs (hashed email and IP address): deleted after 30 days.
- Abuse limits for our own visit log (hashed IP address and time): deleted after 1 day.
- Our own visit log (steps like starting a reading or checkout): deleted after 1 year.
- Dream dictionary notes: deleted after 1 year.
- Reviews: kept with the reading and deleted with it. You can edit your review, or turn off public display, from your reading page, or email us to delete it.
- Share links: you can create a link to your preview or your paid reading and stop it at any time. Shared pages never show your name, birth details, email, follow-up questions or payment information. Share links are deleted with the reading.
- Visitor cookie: stays in your browser for 400 days unless you delete it.
7. Children
HeyMong is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the birth date entered shows someone is under 13, we do not create a reading. You must be 18 or older to make a purchase. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email contact@heymong.com and we will delete it.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act) may give you rights over your personal information. Those laws may not apply to a business of our size, but we offer these rights to everyone in the United States:
- Know and access: ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
- Correct: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Delete: ask us to delete your information.
- Opt out: limit the use of your information for targeted advertising (see section 4).
- Equal service: we will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email contact@heymong.com with your reading page address or the email you used at checkout, so we can confirm the request is yours. We reply within 45 days, and we delete reading inputs and results as soon as we confirm the request. We may keep payment records for the period in section 6, and we will tell you if we do. You can also use an authorized agent, who will need to show your written permission. If we deny your request, you can reply to appeal, and we will answer within 45 days.
9. Cookies
We use one visitor cookie that holds only a random value (never your name or email) to count your free readings and reopen readings you bought in the same browser. The cookies used by Meta and Google, and how to block them, are described in section 4. If you block cookies, free readings are counted separately in each browser, and you can open your reading from the link in your email or at heymong.com/en/find.
10. Security
All connections use encryption (HTTPS), and access to our database is limited to the people who need it to run the Service. We store IP addresses used for limits, and the email and IP address in "find my reading" logs, only as one-way hashes. Reading link keys are stored only as hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
11. Contact
- Privacy contact: Hyeon Seok Son (contact@heymong.com)
You can send any privacy question or request to contact@heymong.com.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here at least 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for an important change to your rights).
